Public Health and Education Committee  

Welcome to the public health and health education committee area.  This area contains "public" meeting notes and information related to the LouHIE public health and health education et al. committee. 

Public Health and Education Committee Charge (Approved):

The Public Health and Education Committee will:  

  1. Be comprised of 8-20 individuals representing in a balanced way the perspectives and interests of all public health and health education related organizations an the Louisville metropolitan statistical area (including Southern Indiana).  
  2. Help develop resources (funding etc.) that can further the purpose of LouHIE
  3. Help develop and recommend policies, procedures and strategies that will A.) improve ability of public health and health education organizations to improve patient care and reduce their costs and B.) improve quality and reduce costs of healthcare for all citizens in the Louisville community.
  4. Educate public health and health education stakeholders it represents about LouHIE activities and opportunities, and identify their interests and concerns. This will include formation and support of an online “Forum”.  
  5. Appoint a Director for the LouHIE board of directors, who shall also serve as the Chair of the Public Health and Health Education Committee.

 Time Commitment and Responsibilities:  

  • Attend committee meetings on a quarterly or as needed basis.
  • Be available by phone and/or e-mail to answer questions from constituents, LouHIE staff and/or other board members.
