Physicians et al. Committee 

Welcome to the physician committee area.  

Physicians et al. Committee Charge (preliminarily approved):

The physicians et al. committee will:  

  1. Be comprised of 4-12 individuals representing in a balanced way the perspectives and interests of all “order-writing” practitioners in the greater Louisville metropolitan statistical area (including Southern Indiana), including physicians, DO’s and nurse practitioners. 
  2. Help develop funding resources LouHIE requires to develop systems to better satisfy the wants/needs of purchasers.
  3. Help develop and recommend policies, procedures and strategies that help A.) physicians and B.) all other directors and committees of LouHIE improve quality and reduce costs of healthcare for the Louisville community.
  4. Educate practitioners it represents about LouHIE activities and opportunities, and identify their interests and concerns. This may include formation of an online member “Forum” in the future. 
  5. Appoint a Director for the LouHIE board of directors, who shall also serve as the Chair of the Physicians Committee.

 Time Commitment and Responsibilities:  

  • Attend committee meetings on a quarterly or as needed basis.
  • Be available for questions from physicians, or LouHIE staff or other board members by phone and/or e-mail.
