Nursing and Other Health Practitioners’ Committee

Welcome to the nursing and other health practitioners' committee area.  

Nursing and Other Health Practitioners’ Committee Charge (Approved):

The Nurses and Other Health Practitioners committee will:  

  1. Be comprised of 4-12 individuals representing in a balanced way the perspectives and interests of all nursing, allied health and other supporting medical practitioners in the greater Louisville metropolitan statistical area (including Southern Indiana), excluding physicians, DO’s and public health practitioners. 
  2. Help develop funding resources LouHIE requires to develop systems to better satisfy the wants/needs of practitioners.
  3. Help develop and recommend policies, procedures and strategies that help A.) nurses and other practitioners represented and B.) all other directors and committees of LouHIE to improve quality and reduce costs of healthcare for the citizens of the Louisville community.
  4. Educate people/organizations it represents about LouHIE activities and opportunities, and identify their interests and concerns. This may include formation of an online member “Forum”. 
  5. Appoint a Director for the LouHIE board of directors, who shall also serve as the Chair of the Nurses and Other Health Practitioners Committee.

 Time Commitment and Responsibilities:  

  • Attend committee meetings on a quarterly or as needed basis.
  • Be available for questions from practitioners, or LouHIE staff or other board members by phone and/or e-mail.
